Industrial Automation-PLC Technician Certificate

The purpose of this course is to provide trainees with the fundamental skills required to work in the field of industrial automation and process data communication system. This course provides a specific safety-related practical experience, such as PLC installation, connection, configuration and operation.

2501-01 is a PLC introductory course that gives trainees a basics concept of PLC. Block diagram and data communication. Technology uses to manage and maintain PLC. Function of important system and subsystem of PLC; familiarize protocols and devices associated with PLC.

  • Understand and explain purpose of uses process automation system
  • Demonstrate basics of PLC, working principle of a PLC
  • Understand and explain different protocols, method of PLC communication
  • Demonstrate basics of PLC programming, develop Ladder Logic Diagrams
  • Demonstrate installation and configuration of a PLC
  • Demonstrate PLC communication with RTU and SCADA system
  • Explain how to do troubleshooting, system upgrade and device connection
